Hi dear ATOTers!

I'm moving from one apartment to another in same complex (move like 800 ft away). How do I move my landline (want to retain same number!) and DSL service to new apt?

TIA.

I use another ISP but I am sure the process is the same. I called the company and told them I was moving. The tech person checked to see if they provided DSL service at my new address and said they did not.

After I moved, I plugged in my modem and got DSL service anyway.

I think you can go on AT&T's website and check what service they offer at your new address.

In my limited experience, three separate NetGear routers have difficulty with AT&T DSL by often dropping the connection. Linksys routers work well though.

chusteczka - no worries about routers! My thang is working, we've been using ATT for over 5 years!

all: I called ATT and they will switch phone and Internet, keeping old phone number! Woot!

I'll have internet @ new place wednesday. Woot.
