At&t digital cable free til 2003. $9.95 installation, in Utah (I think)

I was watching tv earlier and a At&t digital cable commercial came on. I did not get all the details, I wasn't really paying attention, but it said free til 2003 + $9.95 installation charge.
I checked the At&t site but there is no information on this there.
Can anyone confirm that this is true?

Nope, that is all that I saw on there internet site but I saw on tv earlier that it was free til 2003 + $9.95 installation.
Maybe it is only available in the midwest or even Utah, perhaps that is why it is not on there site.

Some how I think that you are right...you were not "really paying attention"...

I Highly doubt that at&t would ever give away a year free....that is almost a 500 value!!


I could see them giving 3 months free....or 1/2 price for an extended time frame...but not free for the whole year....That would be so unbelievable super hot flamming of a deal...it would be unreal!!

Would be nice though

Oh I see now...you buy regular cable and then you get the Digital cable for free minus the 10 installation...and that is free for a year!

That is a 120-10 so a 110 dollar value!! Not bad at all!

I only saw about the last 5 seconds of the commercial but I am almost certain of what I saw.
I am sure there are restrictions to this, maybe it is the basic channels only and maybe you have to agree to
pay for one year after the free year. I dont know for positive but I will find out soon, when I call them.

Spanky's absolutely right. I live in Salt Lake City (in Utah, duh) and they ARE offering free digital cable til 2003, with $9.95 install charge for. Current subscribers. So, it only saves you around $10 / month
