I see you guys posting some gigantic panoramas and want to contribute. I feel like I've got it kind of easy these days with access to my building's rooftop and although the stadium lights get in the way somewhat, it's not too bad:
nicely done!!

i have some panos and sunsets/sunrises on the way..still doing the post to make them really pop :)

This one takes a bit of explanation. The photo above was taken under UV light. The rock is a granite that contains feldspar, a mineral that weakly fluoresces under UV light. The feldspar in this particular granite fluoresces fairly brightly on fresh surfaces. The granite developed a desert varnish as it weathered, coating the feldspar. The petroglyph carvers of the main design chipped through the desert varnish to create their designs, exposing fresh granite. Weathering continued to affect the granite, dimming the original florescence. A second carver created the human figure at the bottom of the panel. This newer figure is brighter because the granite exposed by the second carver hasn't had as much time to weather. The petroglyph is 500-1700 years old, possibly up 2300 years old. The bright green speck is a scorpion.
