AT Shot of the Day Thread

This thread is where AT members can post a picture that was taken recently to post date. Basically as a group, AT : DVC can collectively post one picture a day for the rest of 2011. This will be one of those threads that will be cool to look after months have gone by to see the pictures posted. The main point of this thread is not to have a contest, but to create an ongoing photo journal as a group.

I know these types of threads exist elsewhere, but it would be nice to see what the AT community can come up with. There is some massive talent exhibited by those in this forum and it would be nice to see the creativity displayed on an ongoing basis.


The General Idea:

• The picture was taken the day or recently to the day of posting
• This is not a contest, but merely a collection of pictures taken by us
• Please keep PP to a minimum, see point # 2
• This is open to anyone, of any subject, from any camera (Keep it clean of course )
• Please keep EXIF Data intact for those that are interested in those things
• Please keep images limited to 1024px on the long end for consistency sake

I feel more comfortable participating in a smaller photography venue such as what we have here on AT.

It's not a requirement as the forum will generally resize the image on the fly Or you can resize the image down beforehand

Thanks! After playing around with it, I found it to be a lot better in B&W. Here's a smaller color version of it. The browns/yellows throw it off and I lost detail when trying to saturate the true green color, especially on the middle lilypad.

We bought a Hibiscus plant from Sam's on clearance half dead. We were able to bring it back to life and it bloomed in the rain we got!

I took this Saturday and wanted to post it, but couldn't due to lack of PC. This is my maternal grandfather, and the picture was a complete accident - yet I think it turned out great.
