I got lucky and that girl wearing the exact right colors appeared as I was framing my shot.

Looking out my front door at the snow falling yesterday. It's the first thing I shot with the used D80 and 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 lens I just bought. I also just learned how to correct the lens distortion in Photoshop. Way cool!

Some shots of frozen Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho that I took yesterday. As you can tell from the flair, my Nikon 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 does NOT like being shot into the sun.

Sorry I use photoshop not lightroom. There is a clarity slider on ACR but I dont use it.

That shot has no sharpening (or colour added) but a number of local curve adjustments.

Ok, something looks off on the water, like some type of clarity or sharpen filter - odds are it's the curve adjustments that might be causing it.

This is a default setting ACR straight conversion from raw and save as jpg, there isnt a specific layer for the water in the final image, just one global curve, one for the grass and one for the mountains.
