From all of you hot dealers et al, I would appreciate any recommendations that you have for where to get items for an apartment. I'm going to need everything, mops, brooms, TP, papertowels, shower curtains, cleaning supplies etc.

I'm NW of Detroit. There are Meijers, Sams, Target, CostCo, Home Depot and a couple of other stores in the area. Where would you recommend going to get some of these basic household necessities for cheap?

I have been saving coupons but I would like to hear any additional recommendations.

Home Depot will be sending you a coupon soon for 10% off anything up to $2k. If they haven't, call 'em and tell em. Lowes does the same thing IIRC. Sears also sends out coupon pacs good for stuff like 1/2 off garden hose, lawn stuff, and other things. At least they used to.

Spend like there is no tommorow!

if you're gonna buy a couple hundred dollars worth of crap from Target it might be worthwhile to open one of their credit card accounts. you get a pretty big discount, then you can close the account after the first month.

for things like cleaning supplies, etc, hit up costco if you know you want the quantities or else hit up walmart. if there's no walmart, then target but the prices will be higher than walmart (by a bit, depending on the item.)

cheap furniture, goodwill is a good bet, but then ikea.
