AT not working right after install of IE 5 on Winnt?

I've been running NT 4 on a server for years, I have several AT jobs that are suppsed to run and up until installing IE 5 they worked fine.
Now it's spotty at best, sometimes scheduled things work and sometimes they don't.
What has IE 5 done to me? I had to install it in order to install some other software, now I wonder if it was worth it.

thats just freakin weird... never seen it.. IE5 was buggy though, maybe going to 5.5 or 6 would help?

at any rate, heres a bump ;-)

Check and see if your software will work with IE 5.5 SP2 cumulatively patched on a test machine, and if it does, then I suggest you upgrade to that version of IE to see if it solves your problem. I agree with the previous poster, version 5 is buggy as hell especially on WinNT platform.

Bahh,
I've been using IE5.01SP2 for more than a year on my work machine and a part from a weird character error message,
I never had any problems....

In Fact, I also have AT jobs running here to provide backups... no problems... all there,
just rechecked to be sure 😉

Well I tried installing IE 5.01 & IE 5.5 - both failed to install, I have no idea why.
What I finally ended up doing was to 'morph task scheduler back to the AT service' as outlined in this Article at JSI
I never had any trouble with AT, it always worked for me. Task scheduler has just been a total PITA.
