AT Madden league -- call for new owners for the playoff push!

UPDATE: Since only one person has responded to my requests for feedback and since only 1 game has been played this week (which has been active for nearly a month), I am folding the league due to lack of interest. Thanks to those who made a concerted effort week in and week out to play your games.


UPDATE: I need to know what the interest level is in continuing with the franchise. I haven't advanced the week in 2 or 3 weeks, yet only 1 game has been played. I understand that with the holidays, it might have been tough to get games in; however, I need to know the committment level from franchise owners going forward. I am going to be gone on a business trip from 1/7 to 1/18 so not much will happen from a commissioner standpoint in that time.

Please PM me with your thoughts. I need all active owners to do so.


UPDATE: We're looking for owners to play in our league for the last few games of the season! The playoffs are near and several teams are in contention, so we're hoping many people will sign up to make the race to the playoffs exciting. Even if you pick a team with no chance of making the playoffs, you have the opportunity to help shape the field by playing and beating those on the bubble.

The Panthers and Colts lead the NFC and AFC respectively, but most of the other divisional races are in contention. Help us decide the field!

We are currently starting week 13 of our Xbox 360 AT Madden league and are looking for new owners to finish this season and continue to a new season, if we all decide to continue on. The original thread is at this location:

While this is a casual league, there is an expectation that if you claim a team, you will either play one game per week or, if you are unavailable, will let your opponent and the commissioner (blanghorst) know so that you can temporarily be removed so your opponent can play the CPU. Once you're removed, you will be reinvited so that you can join once your opponent has completed the game.

Below is a list of teams with their current owners. A few of the owners below haven't played a game in several weeks, so I will be contacting them and asking for their status. If they do not reply within a week, the team will be released for anyone to claim.

FORMER TEAM OWNERS: If you previously owned a team and would like to rejoin the league, please PM me and you can have your old team back or you can claim another open team.

EDIT: Broncos and Cowboys are now free to claim.

LEAGUE INFORMATION

Because the game allows these settings to be modified while the season is in progress, these are not set in stone. For instance, if the majority of the owners in the league decide that a 7 minute quarter length would be preferable, we can hold a new poll.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR JOINING THE LEAGUE

Players join the league through in-game invitations. This does not require that we add each other to our friends list. To have your invitation sent, please do the following:

1. Activate the code on the back of your game manual (done through the in-game Online Franchise Menu)
2. Send blanghorst a PM indicating you are ready to be invited. Include your Xbox Live gamer tag.
3. When your invitation has been sent, your name will be bolded in the list below.
4. The league's password is atcg360.

Yes, I will pencil you in for the Pats. I am not 100% sure how you switch teams within the franchise though; I might have to boot you and then reinvite you. I will do so when I get home.

I will try to send you an invite Thursday evening. You have the Ravens. I have an early flight tomorrow and will be out of town on business until late tomorrow night, so unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to get to it tonight as I have a few other things to finish up.

As it stands now, we're in week 13 and we will probably have a 1 to 2 week break over Thanksgiving since 1) it is the holidays and 2) I will be out of town and we don't have a co-commissioner yet. We will probably also have a 1 to 2 week break during the Xmas holidays as well.

Tentatively, I plan on advancing the week on Sunday (11/22) and then people will have all of that week and all of the following week to play their next game. When I get back on 12/9, I will advance the league again.

I hope to post the complete schedule when I get back to town Thursday.

I would be, except this is my first Madden game in years and I'll be out of town for a week and a half for thanksgiving. If that's not a problem I'll take my god awful Green Bay Packers (referring to their performance this season..).

That should not be a problem. I will advance the week on Sunday and then people will have until December 9 to get their games in, as I will be gone from 11/25 to 12/9. I will try to send an invite to you tonight.

Guys, just a quick note. I am heading back from vacation tomorrow and should be home later tomorrow night (depending on flight times, etc). I plan to advance the week tomorrow night or Wednesday morning. Let's try to get our games in ASAP so we can advance again on Sunday and return to our normal schedule.

Cool, you should still have an invite. You should be able to log in and get your game in tonight or maybe tomorrow night. I am currently in Italy and won't be home until late tomorrow night, so I probably won't advance until Wednesday.

Sorry guys, I've been really busy and haven't had a chance to advance the week yet, as I just got back from a 2+ week vacation. I will try to do it tonight but I will be pretty busy in the days leading up to Xmas, so what would you all think if I advance the week tonight and then not advance it again until after Xmas?
