I am still blown away at the closeing price, that is very cheap, I am from florida but currently live in California. The prices here are un-real, only about 19% of the population can afford to buy a home here and average price starts at $450,000.00 for a small home.

Yep. 44K for 3 bedroom house (4 bedroom, but we think one is more appropriate to call an office), reconditioned barn, 2 car attached garage, another detached building which is like a large garage (perfect for the chickens, turkeys, and other fowl that we raise), 17+ acres, about 2/3 wooded, with a beautiful stream. Mortgage payment, excluding escroll for taxes and insurance, is less than 300 a month.

Is the house a complete dump or something?

There are a lot of deals off the beaten paths in the good ole usa...don't expect DSL or major mall stores much of the time though.

You buy into a future though because let's face it sooner or later America is going to be nearly all 'urbanized'.

Around here farms are selling off land practically given to them 20 years ago for 6 figures per acre.
