"At least one dead, 11+ injured". Some sources say 2 dead.
Police say it was an "explosive device, not a gas explosion"

Dead person "possible the attacker" (suicide bomber?)

There was a music festival going on and according to some sources "a man with a backpack was denied entrance".

What's unique is that Ansbach is really a Cowtown in the heart of (very conservative) Bavaria, Germany...the last place where one would expect a bomb explosion or an attack of any sorts. I guess those times are over now.

More details to come, this just happened tonight.

Yes there are plenty in/around Nürnberg (?), I remember Ansbach in particular.

Seems that was a foiled suicide attack, that could've been BAD with 2500 at the festival.

Damn Buddhists

edit: Good thing theyre letting in all the refugees, better them than us

Earlier on Sunday, a 21-year-old Syrian refugee was arrested after killing a pregnant woman and injured two other people in the southwestern city of Reutlingen, near Stuttgart.

That attack came after a refugee from Pakistan wielding an ax injured five people near Wuerzbuerg, also in southern Germany, before he was shot dead by police on July 18.

Well this one was a Syrian Refugee:
The attacker was a 27-year-old Syrian who had entered the country about two years ago, but had been refused asylum, Bavarian authorities told a press conference. His application was rejected a year ago but the man was allowed to stay in Germany temporarily, due to ongoing hostilities in Syria.

What the hell... Germany was quiet up until last week, then within the span of this past week: one mass axe attack, one mass shooting, one dude with a machete, and one suicide bombing. And every single one had an obvious tie that we all know.

The mass shooting definitely doesn't look to be Islamic extremist motivated based on the evidence including that at least 7 of the 9 killed were Muslim which would not plausibly happen by accident if the goal was actually to kill Christians. (The individual in question was also Shia in background which would make him effectively the enemy of ISIS or Al Qaeda for that matter.)

There is actually a bunch of evidence suggesting the individual previously diagnosed with mental illness was at least partially inspired inspired by the white supremacist Anders Breivik and timed his shooting to be on the fifth year anniversary of Brevik's own mass shooting in Norway.

Not saying the Munich shooting was Islamic exteremism, but this weird idea that's emerged that the targets of Islamic extremism must be Christians and not Muslims is so weirdly absurd. Radical Islam targets other Muslims every bit as much as it does so called Christians. In fact, Islamic radicals have a particular hatred for Muslims they consider to be too westernized.

Also its getting more and more laughable by the day that ISIS invented Islamic terrorism and now completely owns it so as long as there's no IS connection = nope! Not terrorism! Automagically. It's absurd.

Again, before anyone kneejerks themselves into a near coma, I'm not saying the Munich shooting was Islamic extremism... (a woman, herself a Muslim did report the guy shouting Allahu Akbar lets not forget however) just that this new narrow definition of the possibility (can't attack other Muslims /IS connection) is absurd.

Same one that also said there were three shooters?

Where did you come up with that? The police thought there were as many as 3 attackers. The woman who reported him saying Allahu Ackbar said "attacker".

Finally the narrative the usual suspects have been peddling comes to fruition. It was bound to happen. Watch them rejoice...

I can assure you that you are far too insignificant of a speck in this world for anyone to rejoice over your acknowledgement of fact :p

How do you think the police thought there were 3 attackers? Eyewitnesses saying that there were. Get it?

Ansbach, Germany (CNN)A Syrian asylum seeker exploded a suicide bomb outside a music festival in southern Germany Sunday night, in the latest violent attack to rattle the country in the past week

Isn't it great how they worded it? Asylum seeker? And the German officials don't know if he just wanted to commit suicide, or kill people. Because, on the list of ways to die, strapping a shrapnel bomb onto your back and trying to get into a festival is at the top of the list for everybody.

The backflips liberals go through to avoid the obvious are staggering.

The funny thing, that foiled suicide bomber was already known to police because of several (minor) offenses, YET, this guy, although already rejected Asylum was "tolerated" to stay and he went to the welfare-office every month getting his check. So basically, German taxpayers paid a known offender/thug to stay...and get rewarded with a bomb for it.

Ironically, and fortunately, no-one else got seriously injured and the problem of sending him back to Syria and the costs of his stay have solved itself....

But as I said earlier, this could've been VERY bad.

Pretty sure there is still a US military base there.

There is a base there. Actually I think 4 installations in and around the city. My sister lives in Ansbach and her husband is in the Army. I was a little shocked when opening up the link from CNN last night and seeing the name of the town.

Apparently ISIS actively recruits in the mall and streets of the city. The cops will come and beat them down when the cameras turn off. Really weird situation in Germany right now.

The vast majority of victims from Islamic extremists are Muslim. And by vast I want to see like 90-95% of people killed in their attack and savagery are muslim.
