I was just replacing an ethernet cable from a laptop by lazily tilting my iMac forward and poking at the ethernet port with the cable while looking over the top.
Of course - the iMac slipped out of my hands and crashed directly on the desk, screen first. I'm talking a HARD slam. Sounded like a gunshot. I don't think I've ever subjected a piece of computer equipment to that kind of force. Not even close.
I assumed there would be spider web cracks all over the screen but no. Nothing. It's crackless.
I learned my lesson cheaply thank God.
