"We have killed countless soldiers and we are going to kill more. Our strength and firepower has surpassed that of Nigeria. We can now comfortably confront the United States of America," he boasted in the local Hausa language.

Hmmm, maybe we should send over an Apache gunship and see how comfortable they really are.

They might not even know what an Apache is.

I was watching a documentary about when US first invaded Afghanistan, and spec ops were targeting camps in the mountains.

One soldier said many of the Taliban thought the Taliban had the advanced weapons, and had ZERO idea about the tech we had. They didn't understand night vision, laser scopes, laser targeting, etc. and when spec ops would run up on a camp in high tech gear, many of the taliban would freeze like they saw ghosts. When Apache's would engage them, some of them would just stare at the apaches like they were alien space craft. They taliban thought the US was just going to send other men over with less gear and shittier weapons than the taliban had. They truly had no idea what they were getting into.

They are really backwards out there.

Ha ha, my thoughts exactly. I was once driving to work and saw a bell cobra helicopter pop up along the side of the road directly infront of my car. It was a pretty intimidating moment, as I thought of how helpless I would have been if I was in a war fighting for the other-side.

It's the reason why IED's became so popular, they adapted pretty fucking quickly as it was around November or December in 2003 when I first heard what an IED even was and I had been doing escort missions from BIAP to multiple places within 100 miles of there.

Only a few first world countries even know what we are truly capable of. These third world's quite honestly are just ignorant which is not their fault they just don't understand and hopefully they will never have to find out.

When 100+ battle hardened insurgents that have been fighting for 3 years in Iraq attack a platoon of Rangers and get slaughtered (over 60 KIA) with only 3 WIA Rangers it's time to change something. They thought they would have the advantage of attacking them at night which is a truly horrible fuck up, and yes Apaches where eventually called in along with artillery all within 5-10 mins.

I said no such thing, don't put words in my mouth. As soon as I saw the headline I knew the religion of peace was involved.... and of course I was correct. The idiots doing this stuff are islamist crazies.

Who's putting words in your mouth, you even repeated it. My bet it you don't know anyone that is a practicing Muslim much less a friend to someone who is a practicing Muslim.

What does Muslim approval have to do with this? Just typical liberal appeal to emotion not based on facts again...

How many of these types of attacks are done by Muslim groups vs non-Muslim groups? I don't know the answer but if I were to guess, one group would have a significantly higher percentage than the other...

LMAO!!!!! Now I'm being accused of being a liberal.

Yes, anyone with a brain realizes that some groups do things based on their religious beliefs yet don't feel they need to use a ultra wide paint brush to include all that follow a given religion.

There are millions of Muslims that don't do evil things in the name of their religion yet they are condemned for the actions of a few.

Because they rarely, if ever, stand up to denounce these actions.

Therefore they are viewed as condoning them by their inaction.

Do you stand up and publicly denounce every evil action committed by a person or group who shares your political or religious beliefs? These men who committed this horrendous act were Muslims sure, but they also committed this act against Muslims.
