At least 16 dead in Pakistani church shooting

I guess they are trying to bring Pakistan into the war by slaughtering innocent Christians at church. Hopefully the Pakistan government will act wisely. If the Afghani rebels dont watch what they are doing, Pakistan might just wipe them out for us.

Sick!:| Really sick! And cowardly. I wonder how many worshipers where in the building with body armor or guns for their defense? probably none. They were probably praying to God for a swift end to this war,and that justice be served to those who profess to be followers, yet turn they eyes away and commit crimes in His name.

This incedent needs front page coverage. If this is to be the new tactic, that should signal all peoples that they are not safe from terrorism even in the sanctity of their Church.

Does anyone have any doubt now who the enemy is?:|

What worries me most, is the possibility that radicals here in America will act against Moslems, Christians, or any other religion in reprisal or unity.

I do not forsee even radicals in the US possesing the tools or wherewithall to do something as assinine as this. This was the work of terrorists trained in Afghanistan by Al Qaeda. Now if those ass holes are in the US and have automatic weapons and the guts to try and pull a stunt like that here, they will be eliminated before they get out of the parking lot. Law enforcment has a quick response here.

Their mode here is Anthrax and hijacked jets. Again, cowards who hide in the dark, like cockroaches.:|

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
As it is written: 'For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.' No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Romans 8: 35-37

"... now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Philippians 1:20b,21

But Im not referring to Al Quida terrorist groups. You have seen a couple teenagers shoot up their schools killing teachers and fellow students. 21 people killed in a Mcdonalds restaurant. It doesnt have to be automatic weapons at all. Think of all the radical militias that have formed in our states, all these hate groups armed to the teeth. Do you think they would think twice about killing police officers? And in smaller communities the police force is too small or insufficiently equipped to deal with these events. We have seen too many sick puppies in our own country to discount the possibility of reprisals. Naturally one hopes this is not possible, and since they did not act in force with the NY attacks they likely would not. But some people are only tempered to see so much and then they break off from reality.

Of course there are radical elements here, but I believe the ones in my neighborhood are not the kind that would walk into a Christian church and open fire in the name of their cause. Many "radicals" here are just as patriotic as anyone else. They may not like the government much, but they don't target people praying to convey their message.

That may be a simplistic approach, but I am not to the point of paranoia to think the skinhead down the street is going to blow up the church next Sunday with all the people in it. They are busy storing up food supplies and ammo for the ground war here. 😉

Its a full-scale religious free for all. We haven't had a good religious war in a while. Good thing I'm not religious.

But, I got a Remington 870, 7.62x39 SKS, and a few handguns ready to go just in case someone mistakes me for one.

If this case is like past incidents in which non-Muslims were savagely murdered in Pakistan, those who carried out the attack will be given a hero's welcome, and will be bestowed with great honors by the state.

If you think this was carried out by Al Qaida or similar groups, you're sorely mistaken. This is not their style. This was carried out by "regular" Pakistani Muslims doing what their Holy Book and local mullah told them to do (i.e. kill all the infidels). Under Pakistani law, I'm not even sure someone can go to jail for killing a non-Muslim, though I don't doubt that Pakistan will round up a dozen people who were causing the government trouble, blame them for the attacks, and execute them.

Cultural relativism be damned, I'm beginning to think these people are just sick f*cks. Animals. Did you hear what the Taliban did to that resistance leader? Hung him up and riddled his body with bullets. Real civilized. Say what you want about America, but we don't do that to people we don't like.

Do you think so? Pakistan IS the main problem for us. They are pretending as a main ally in the war against the terrorism. But Pakistan is the main enemy for US.

that pretty much describes how most of them act. My dogs act more civilized than some of them

Oh, we have plans for Pakistan, their day of reckoning is coming. But, there are merits to starting in Afghanistan, mainly because that's where Bin Laden is holding-up (or was a couple weeks ago).

President Musharraf is on our side. Don't get me wrong, I know he was forced into a very tough position and that he wouldn't have been so willing to assist the United States before finding himself with little choice. But, Musharraf knows that Islamic extremism is becoming a greater internal threat to Pakistan each day, and this gives him an excellent opportunity to start the wheels of change in motion. Musharraf has catered to the significant extremist element in Pakistan, because no politician who wants to hold office in Pakistan (or stay alive) will be so foolish as to ignore them. But, ideologically, Musharraf is not on their side.

Are these people for real????? I have yet to meet a Muslim that uses intelligent thought processes. I am sure there must be some intelligent individuals that practice the Muslim religion, but they must be the minority. It seems these individuals are so fanatical about their faith, that it precludes them from using rational thought processes. Kind of like Pat Roberts and Jerry Falwell. They are just as bad, just the Christian version. Can't all you religious fanatical morons see that "God" (insert whatever you wish in there) will probably be angry if we kill in his name????? MORONS! War is one thing. Declaring war in God's name is BLASPHEMY! Pull yer heads outta yer phuking arses already. Just because you have a diaper on your head, doesn't mean your head belongs in your @ss.

Once again, these terrorists show just how cowardly they are. They attack civilians after they've just come from church, people who had no means of defense.

However, as they did just come from church I'm sure they are in a much better place now, and you can also be sure that those terrorist cowards will not be joining them when they die.

as an american muslim im really sad in hearing this.

the last few years in pakistan there has been such an increase in crime. there are so many groups, gangs, or mafias around that shooting like this happen every week in which a few dozen innocent people are shot. most of the time it is muslim firing at muslims in the streets. this is most common in karachi. (im assuming this incident was in karachi??) however this time christians were attacked. there are a lot of ignorant and stupid people in the world who do these things and that is the situation of the whole world, not just muslims or pakistanis. we all know it is not right....but this is not the taliban who did this. it is most likely some local gang or group who decided to do it for whatever reason they found. it could have been random or it could have been planned, but its still not islamically acceptable.....

i have seen in pakistan that Christian organizations are treated very nicely there. They run many private schools and colleges there and they are never given any problems by the government and often the government is more lenient with them. I have many times talked with nuns who run one local high school there and in talking to them i learned they enjoyed their time very much there and they didnt have any complaints.

just my 2 cents...
