As long as he does it with style, and on stage, I am all for it. :p

I'd love to see them.

Agreed. And to think that DLR just played at our state fair like a week ago. My how he has fallen since he was drunk onstage fogetting the lyrics to Unchained and Jump when I first saw them live in 1984....or maybe not. :D
Dude, the "I forgot the f-'n words" was/is part of his act...he did that every night.

Yeah, I know - and it was lame then too.

It will go well if DLR shows up five minutes befor the sound check, leaves until the five minutes before they go on stage. Enters from the other side of the stage from the rest of the band and leaves while the others are taking their bows at the end.

Nah, you had to be there. DLR era VH was about the show, not necessarily the singing.
That's why there aren't any official live releases with DLR.

Lots of stuff that was cool in the 70's and 80's is considered not cool now. Dave definitely needs to update his act some, but it will still be awesome to see the originals again playing songs that haven't been done live since Dave was in the band.

It was a pathetic joke that they weren't inducted into that sham establishment the first year they were eligible.

Is it possible they were notified of this news several days before it was released to the public and could that have had anything to do with this plan to supposedly reunite. (Just me wondering out loud, I don't generally read the latest Van Halen rumors.)

Nah, that's been in the works for awhile.

hmmm, if reunion news came first, maybe it's the rock and roll HOF hoping to cash in on a bit of the old Van Halen magic.

Might be...either way, it's total B.S. that VH wasn't voted in when they first became eligible a few years ago.

Also going in, REM, The Ronnettes, and The Dave Clark 5.

Don't see how the Ronnettes deserve to be in, but the rest I can see.

These old band reunions (esp any of the 80's hair bands) attract the hottest chicks.

Seems kind of pointless. There's no new music so why bother trying to relive the past?

Unfortunately I think this has more to do with people hating on him than his actions.

Too many think older men can't still be rock stars.

Sabbath is reforming too with Dio at the lead.

The funny thing about it all though is Roth is still making some pretty coin off his past...the songs still rock.

To another above...rock stars in general want the spotlight. It became an Eddie vs Dave thing...neither was right even if the Van Halen's were the 'original' members, I think Dave was what got them their success (if you don't count Gene Simmon's bankroll ;)).

These guys are not trying to reinvent music really in these tours for the most part, it's giving the original fans a chance to relive it, and the new fans a chance to experience the music as it was intended.

The original members of Led Zeppelin are old enough to be my parents, I never got to see them in concert. If I could even without Bonham I would. Even if to just mingle with other fans prior to the show.

AWESOME! This is fantastic news even if I won't be able to see them. In my opinion Van Halen w/ David Lee IS the greatest rock band in America's history and a tour like this would be epic.

How hard is it to sing a fscking song together if it makes you millions. I have no respect for any of them.
