Bah I'm gonna lose cuz DMC4 is being stingy with the achievements. I'm not gonna put one of my other games in. DMC is too fun.
 
It is too late for this one but it ends on Saturday I think then there will be another one you could probably join.

Heh, I popped in The Orange Box because after I got it for Christmas all I played was Portal. Halfway through Half-Life 2, I'm starting to think that the whole 1000 points split up over 99 achievement thing is a bit of a hindrance to this contest's goal, especially when watching ducci plow through Prey for 665 points in a day or two. 😛

I still have PGR3, Superman Returns, and Blue Dragon in the shrinkwrap, so I may switch to one of those in the next few days.

Yeah I was doing good until I started playing DMC. The achievements are mostly hard to get or take awhile (1,000,000 red orbs)

but the game is too fun. I guess I should have stuck with Marvel Ultimate Alliance until the contest was over. That seems to have easy achievements.

Now I'm to addicted to DMC to play anything other than Poker Smash.
 
Hey, I beat Prey in 4 days, not a day or two! Prey got some flack for being lame, but I actually really enjoyed it. I got it at Amazon for like $9 new and it was FAR better than the Darkness which I paid $13 for used.

Either way, this one ends Sunday and I'll start up a new one right after. Greasygomez is my friend and he got the RRoD right before this started, so thats why he hasn't done anything. His spot will be open, as I doubt he'll get his console back before then. We can do another $20 from Amazon or change to something else from this list.

I just got the Forza 2/Marvel Ult. Alliance combo pack, so I think those will be my next games.

Anyway, I'm looking to create another one but since I won I can't create another "Tier 1" contest - which is for 5 people. We can go to a "Tier 2" contest for a $50 Best Buy gift card or 4000 MS points and get 10 people - or someone else needs to create a Tier 1 and I'll sit out.

I vote that you should create the Tier 2 and we can ask our non-AT friends, as well. I have 2 or 3 that I think would join.
 
Alright - 1 vote puts it over the top. The main downside is that the "Tier 2" contest lasts 2 weeks, though I guess the prize is twice as good.

How does this work? Do we participate against each other? Does our group participate against other groups? If it's group vs. group, do all members of the winning group get the prize?
 
It's our group only. This contest is for 10 people, so once it starts, it keeps track of the achievements gained by the 10 people in it for 2 weeks. Whoever got the greatest gain in points wins.

And CKRanger - where are your friends? I don't know if we'll be able to get a 3rd contest in if this doesn't get filled up soon.

Probably. I had an account there a long time ago... but it wont let me sign in. I only ever used it to read my 360's blog... which honestly is really stupid.
 
They say you can tell when your 360 will get the RRoD by reading its blog. It hits adolescence and gets angsty and depressed and writes about loneliness and suicide.

It's sad, really...

Go for it. If the friends I asked are too slow to get in, it's their own fault. First come, first serve, as far as I'm concerned.
