and being a noob makes it all uphill work

I had a problem copying and pasting IPs into the server portion of Steam the other night. What it was doing was telling me it was an invalid IP, but I found out it was creating a space before the IP sequence. Deleting the blank space solved the problem. Check and see if that was maybe doing it to you too.

If anyone else has a good server (preferably west coast, as that should help Dug with the ping), feel free to post. I'll look for an alternative in the meantime.

I tried deleting at the beginning and end, but rather than say invalid IP, I hit the ok or whatever and the dialouge box just disappeared... strange, but it is source & steam, so it is to be expected
