As it stands Inuyashsa may never finish in anime format. It's set to be canceled in September. For those of you who don't know, the Manga is not complete yet (although it appears to be nearing an end) and the Anime is still volumes behind as it is.

Isn't that how it goes for most Animes?

Not always and it is especially rare when an anime is still extremely popular. There is currently an Inuyasha movie (the fourth one) set to be released in November/December (forgot which) which is a testament to popularity enjoyed by the series currently.

There's plenty of reasons to raise an eyebrow because from where I stand this seems like a poor decision, especially from a purely profit driving perspective. I hear they're replacing it with (another) Gundam SEED series.

Weak.

What!?!?!?

And now that I think about it, so many series I've never gottena round to downloading...

Let me know if you're still looking for it ... I might dig around on IRC for ya ... but no way can I beat 16TB of anime. Share the love! =)

man... i cant believe what just happened to my computer. as i was minding my business and typing away a full page long mini review of new series, i was greeted with some usb related dll induced BSOD.. after restarting, i get this 'system file is missing, cant start windows' BS, so i was like what the hell, just gonna use my ghost image file. then the real trouble strikes me : ghost image file (which was on the second partition) was damaged and ghost refuses to continue spitting out an error message. now i cant even get it to run ghost or windows setup 😱 weird, never had it this bad ever before... well i will cut my rambling here and try to recommend a few recent series i liked.

in the order of preference :

1. 2x2 = Shinobuden (if you cant afford to watch it all, just watch this one.. I wouldnt hesitate to nominate it the anime of the year 😉)
2. Galaxy Angel 4th season (YMMV, no english fansubs as of yet)
3. Elfen Lied
4. Girls Bravo 1st season
5. Wind ~ A Breath of Heart ~
6. Operation Sanctuary (Hani Hani)

I still need to watch more samurai champloo, downloaded up to 11 but only finished up to 2nd episode. well its definitely high quality but somewhat overrated imo. lets see if it improves down the road 🙂

As far as OVA series go, Interlude and Natsuiro no Sunadokei were pretty good i thought.

Not exactly new, I know, but I gotta say Boukyaku no Senretsu and Syura no Toki are still going strong and are enjoyable as they have always been 🙂

FMP3 has been announced to be made sometime in the near future. The director will be Takemoto Yasuhiro, the same guy who was invovled in FMP fumoffu and Nurse Komugi Magikarte.
