I'm in the market for a new LCD TV. Preferably 42"-46" range and don't feel like spending much more than $1200ish. I've heard a lot of good things about Samsung brands but I figure I'd consult the experts here for some help as well. Not rushing into buying it as its a tough decision to make.

Go Plasma. Get any Panasonic. Much better IQ than any LCD in that price range or just about any price range.
 
Yeah, looks good. I'm a bit surprised the 630, 650, and Sony W4100 haven't dropped into that price ballpark.

A lot more power consumption, too, though this year's new models fix that.
