I have also had sound issues at a 133fsb on a P4B266 with a 1.6a cpu. Mine was making a screeching/buzzing sound through my speakers with the onboard audio or with a SB Live card. After the noise started the system would lock up or reboot in a few seconds. As per tips from other posters here I removed one of my 256meg memory sticks and set mem voltage to 2.6 volts. I also set cpu voltage to 1.7 volts and the system using the onboard audio is running great. You might try it and see what happens.

Are you overclocking with the BIOS or the switches on the board. My P4B266 works fine at 133MHz with the sound enabled, but only using the switches. Are you running 1.5 volts?? Try using the BIOS, upping the voltage a little with the sound enabled. Watch the voltage, we are starting to see P4s dying, probably due to too much juice. R

I'm using the bios to overclock, and I had to up the core voltage to 1.6 . Everything is fine with the sound off.... but the onboard sound causes hell. I was hoping worst case I could just replace the sound card but it sounds like some are still having trouble with a Live!

I picked up a Philips Rythimic Edge 4.1 card today and now I'm running 133fsb fine. Damn onboard sound.
