App hoarders rejoice?

Tough sell since the ZenFone 2 already has expandable storage, so that's got your big video files covered. I'd rather see Asus put that money towards something like a better camera or improved battery life.

Really that amount of storage is more suited for laplets like the Surface than a phone.

why????? I could just get microSD....

they need to put Qi wireless charging in ...

Some apps are terrible about using the SD card.

On my Tab Pro 8.4, the Zinio app itself can be moved to the SD card but all magazine files remain in internal storage, eating up GBs of storage.

I see no reason to complain or ask why, frankly as fast as mobile devices have been advancing, storage space has not. Why shouldn't more phones have 256GB of internal storage? Considering how vital these devices are - for many people they are their main and/or only computing device - they really should have more internal storage.

Exactly. This reason alone is why I skipped out on this years S6 and Note 5.

Why? So I can put it all on the phone and not have to worry about swapping out tiny cards that can be lost or broken.

microSD is not the solution. It's the stop-gap until phones like this become the norm.

I need a music player with storage like this. I'm not excited by dual SD in the Fiio. Just sounds like a nightmare to manage.

how often are you swapping out microsd cards ?

Phones should be offering more storage whether its a removable card that I could use with my next phone or just baseline storage above just a few GB. My preference would of course be having both.
