I am getting tomorrow this mobo and I read this in the manual:

M.2 Socket 3 shares bandwidth with PCIEx1_1 and PCIEx1_2 (in PCIE mode) and SATA6G_4 (in SATA mode), and support M Key and type 2260/2280 storage devices.

That means that all devices connected to the 2 extra sata ports that share the M.2 socket, will share bandwidth with port SATA6G_4?

I have 3 Samsung 850 PRO in Raid0 and 2 Samsung Spinpoint F3 in Raid0.

I will connect the 3 SSDs on the SATA 1,2,3 and the HDDs on SATA 4 and 5 (the shared one).

That means that the 2 HDDs in Raid0 will use the same bandwidth?

If so, I ll have to change to a Maximus VII Hero.

Well I can't comment on the pro but the maximus vii hero is alright with me and you won't go wrong with it.

You didn't say what os you're going to use but I highly recommend that you use windows 8.1 x64 so it will fully integrate with the uefi bios. Be sure to do a uefi gpt install for the most benefit. I balked at upgrading to 8 because of the metro look but a program called classic shell restores the windows 7 look with the new functionality so it gives you the best of both worlds. I initially used win 7 x64 ult but I could never get it to fully work right with the uefi bios so I moved to 8.1 and it works great.

Thanks for the tips. I was gonna install Win7 again cause I also dont like Win 8.1. Not only the looks, but the added "security" they added it annoys me.
