ASUS Xonar DX interference

In June, I bought an ASUS Xonar DX audio card, seeing as my on-board is very bad (VIA HD Audio). I've been experiencing some problems. When I start a game, or any application that "requires" a little more than just viewing the desktop, I get some horrible interference, in the form of my microphone emitting LOADS of noise. Like when I started playing DayZ, I played with some friends, and they all complained about a "helicopter-ish" noise, and sometimes just squealing. Today, one of my friends denied joining me on my Minecraft server, because the noise was absolutely horrible.

I tried getting some info on a Norwegian forum (because I am obviously Norwegian), and some guy said that it might be because my audio card is too close to the video card. This might be right, as I am using a ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3, which is a mATX formfactor, and the layout is top down: PCI-e x1, PCI-e x16, PCI, PCI.

Please help me, it's driving my friends nuts, and I want to play with them!
Sorry for any bad or weird english, I am Norwegian 😉

I will somehow link or upload an audio file. so you can hear an example of sounds, which I recorded in Minecraft today.

Have you ruled out the microphone?..ie try a different microphone, also check the floppy power cable that attaches to the sound card, you could try a different floppy power cable or try rerouting it,also do you have latest sound card drivers installed from Asus website, make sure onboard sound is disabled in BIOS too.

Even whitout the microhpne plugged in, it makes sounds. I only have one floppy power connector, and yes, I have tried rerouting it. I installed the drivers in June, will check in a few minutes. On-board sound is disabled in BIOS.

It did not help updating. Think I might call ASUS and complain..
