I just bought a P5Q Pro over at newegg and then tried to load the Asus webpage to get drivers and downloads. It's absolutely pathetic. The Taiwan site will load, but it's in Chinese, the USA website is slow and will not load.
I did a quick google search and it seems the Asus website has been slow and/or does not load for several years now. Tons of people have complained.
How can they be so popular if people can't even get a bios update or driver?
I am thinking about cancelling my order but wanted some feedback from you guys first.
I've never owned Asus before.

That one is a little bit better. I am downloading the manual at a whopping 1.15 KB/Sec. It seems stuck at 75% though.

I had one day where the downloads kept stopping. Then I tried to download later the same day and was hitting like the fastest speeds I've seen for downloads (over 1100k/s).

I don't understand why that happened.

This is nothing new...Asus's website has always been a complete joke (especially considering they're the #1 board maker and can certainly afford something that performs far more professionally).

IMHO, AnandTech should downrate Asus boards as a matter of course until their website is fixed. There is no excuse for Support like that from them...

Actually, ASUS website is hugely improved in the past six months or so. It still periodically suffers terrible performance but it is the exception now and usually doesn't last more than a few hours, whereas it was the normal state of ASUS website before.
