I'm buying an Asus V9560 Video Suite card mainly for the dual DVI ports. Is it wise to install the Asus drivers or only install nVidia's drivers?

Thanks :)

i prefer nvidia's drivers over them asus ones. didn't notice any difference in image quality and nvidia ones offered better framerates.

I have an ASUS ATI card and from what I can tell, the drivers they post on their site are the latest ATI reference drivers. I could be mistaken about that, but I think that is the case. I would guess it is the same for the nV drivers too.

Unless you really need a feature that your OEM provides then it's always better to stick to reference drivers for your GPU.

For the V9560, the reference nVidia driver works OK whereas even the updated ASUS driver from the ASUS website crashed my Windows 98 SE (M/B K8V, Athlon 64 3000+) every time. Thus: nVidia.
But why can't ASUS do it right?
