Help, please...

I am trying to use this new video card for my DVI monitor. When I try to connect the monitor to the card, it doesn't quite fit, the bottom hex nut blocks the rim of the plug.
The pins match the pattern on the card, but this makes me wonder if the IBM (which originaly worked with Matrox cards I didn't get one, bought the monitor for a good price).

Anyone know if the T55d uses a proprietary connector?
