ASUS TUA266 Problem

Hi,
Just purchased the ASUS TUA266 socket370 MB and noticed that the CPU Vcore adjustments in the Bios does not work accordingly . You can manipulate the adjustments but when you do change it to say 1.8v save and exit the default CPU vcore is used. I noticed it in ASUS probe program in windows picking it up as 1.7v and not 1.8v like I set. Hardware monitor in the bios settings also says 1.7v and just to cofirm it even further connected an ASUS iPanel that too showing 1.7v but my setting in the bios is 1.8v. Updated to latest bios still no go anyone having the same problem and can this be a defective MB problem.

HELP

Ugh....TUA266...what a terrible board....ahem...

Anyway, have you tried to set your voltage even higher to compensate for the fact that the voltage sent is a little lower than usual? Do you really need such a high VCore? What processor are you running?

Hi AndyHui

Yep its not of ASUS standard. The reason I want to be able to up the voltage is that I had a Gigabyte 60XET 815EP MB and was able to run both a P3 1gig @ 1.13 @1.8v and a Celeron 800 @ 1.1Gig @1.8v stable cant get anywhere near that on this board coz it wont up the Voltage. Anyone else with this voltage problem?

Can you go back and get the board changed for a CUSL2-C or something?

Which part of Melbourne are you in? I might be able to give you a little help (I'm in Melbourne).
