I can say without a doubt that if that's the design chassis cooling is going to be a huge issue in a mini ITX form factor. I would estimate it's dumping at least 70% of its exhaust right into the chassis and if non quiet high CFM air circulation isn't used it's going to choke itself and every other component in the PC.

Its going to heavily depend on the case. Alot of people are already using full sized dual slot DirectCU or Windforce 670/80s in mitx cases, and those dump alot of exhaust in the cases as well.

It really shouldn't be surprising to see these.. the stock 670 PCB is around 8" long or less. I'm more surprised with the number of fake "long" cards.

It looks really really awesome, except the pictures don't even show the front of the card?

What gives.

Man, wish I could find an AMD equivalent to this with miniDP....that form factor is really nice.

Speaking as someone who has two Silverstone SG05 and two Lian Li PC-Q11 in the household, AMD's offerings are very limited for me because my cases can't accommodate the physical size.

Yeah I came from an SG05. Now I have the 07 and my 6950 (and newly replaced with 7870) fit fine, but I would not mind freeing up those few inches for air/cables/space in general.

Unfortunately I would rather stick with another AMD card than go through a reinstall or thorough driver cleaning right now to swap to green(yes I know, the epitome of laziness right here haha).

ASROCK has its own wierd design for Mini-ITX.

http://www.techpowerup.com/181255/ASRock-Shows-Off-New-Mini-ITX-Gaming-System.html

I could see some other dsigns like a case design with the motherboard on one side of an upside down T and put the video card around on the other side using a ribbon PCIE Extension. No reason they have to be perpendicular. They need to kick the ATX fom factor out the window and start from scratch.

Agreed. Most people don't need anything more than an mITX motherboard and a hard drive/ssd. I don't know that I'll ever even buy anything so big as an mATX motherboard again.
