bought a Asus strix b350-f mobo. everything is running great but the aura
RGB program for the board. I Downloaded straight from Asus web site. but on
starting the program i get a " AURA has stopped working" error, then it sends me to a
doctor dump report website and it states:

Report information
Manufacturer Manufacturer01
Application name AURA for X99 series
Application version 0.0.0.0
Problem state Bug unassigned
Problem 362241
Dump group 1028061
Dump 22529375
Stack
Problem state
The problem is new and has not yet been fixed in AURA for X99 series.

this board isnt X99! and anyone know how to fix it?

Weird. Seems like the driver is not recognizing the AMD mobo.

I see lots of complaints about it, but no actual fix.

Even the new release, Lighting_Control_1.06.17, doesn't seem to have satisfied very many users.

There's a "Fire the Aura team" thread over there now.

I agree, ive tried the new lighting control 1.06.17 didnt do anything different but a new critical error message.

I had the Aura program installed. I setup my lighting for my Maximus X Hero and it worked for a while. Then suddenly the lights went to a solid color and would not alternate like I had programmed. Noticed the aura program wouldn't open, saying a critical file could not be installed and it would not uninstall.. Got it to finally uninstall via 3rd party tool. Install aura fresh and now it doesn't see my motherboard. Gave up and just left it on color cycle as default from the BIOS. The software is a dumpster fire. I can use Corsair's LED control software, Logitech, EVGA and they all work fine but not Asus.

Agreed. All my other RBG lighting controls work but the ASUS Aura. It’s just locked on the Mobo default settings. Love the board just not that so I just hid it with a vertical GPU mounting.
