A friend who is really knowledgeable about hardware used to use this site, so I thought I'd post my question here. I love the 1080 ti, but there is a buzzing sound that seems to be coming from the GPU. To troubleshoot, I put the old card back in (gtx 780), but the sound was still there. I replaced the power supply (at first I wasn't sure where the sound was coming from), still there. I took everything out of the case and ran it on top of the desk. The buzzing was still there, but wasn't as loud with both the 1080 ti and the old card. I returned the 1080 ti and just got a new one. The buzzing sound is back. I'm not sure what is causing this. Any suggestions to at least dampen the sound? Thanks!
