I'd like to hear from people who have this mb as I'm considering getting it to replace my msi 650i mb and I have to have at least one usable pci slot. I'm looking at the asus manual for it and it doesn't indicate the configuration for two card sli. I see the two blue pci-e 2.0 slots and the single white slot in between them. Does the asus sli bridge for two cards use the two blue slots or does it use a blue and the white slot? Thanks.

I most likely operates like the 680i ASUS boards, in which case the blue ones at the electrical 16x slots, and the white one is electrical 4x.

The blue ones are for the video cards in SLI.

All slots on the 780i are 16x. Only the blue slots are gen 2 pci-e. I need to know if two card sli uses the two blue slots or does it use a blue and the white slot.

Thanks and yes all 780i mb's use the two blue slots for two card sli. I now have two 780i mb's in service. My old p6n sli plat was toasted yesterday by a failing ps so I replaced it with an evga 780i sli mb and it works great as well plus it has a lifetime warranty.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread just want to know whether the Asus xonar d2x is compatible with this mobo
http://www.kustompcs.co.uk/acatalog/info_4072.html
I plan to use it with sli'd 8800gts (640mbx2) And when inserting the gfx cards am unsure whether the asus xonar will fit over the mobo heatsinks. Unfortunately puffnstuff's sig is the only reference I have found so far of someone doing this
