ASUS starts making GPUs with no power connectors

Oh hell no.

Instead of 50 cent PCIe connectors, we're now going to add hundreds of dollars to motherboards for connectors and circuitry because it needs to handle 600W.
Instead of a case fans dealing with the heat from PCIe connectors, we're now going to sandwich it behind the motherboard tray.

Imagine those people who constantly check their firestarter(tm) 4090 connectors. Now they'll have to remove their case side panel every day.

You can see these clowns are just trying to start a monopoly to lock their customers to their GPU / case/ mobo combos.

Is having lots of components by a single company actually a common thing, I dont think I have ever owned a motherboard and video card from the same manufacturer at the same time. I dont think I have ever owned a case made by anyone that also makes MB's or GPU's. I have never been interested in all the RGB stuff going on these days so maybe its more common in that sphere?

I always though that unique one manufacturer solutions usually die a quick painful death

I don't see the issue if it turns out to be a reliable solution. People who can afford 600W cards shouldn't balk at paying an extra $100 for safety.

But the real problem is going above 500W for a GPU. Should never have happened. Thank nGreedia for that gift.
