Always thought something was sketch with him. He was too consistent with posting pictures of 'his' hardware that were always just tightly cropped box shots. Seemed suspect with him always using pictures like that.

I thought he was another Rollo though, turned out he was a scammer of another vein :D

I'm expecting this card to cost around $500-$550.

And yes I don't do business through Amazon anymore when ever possible. They perma-ban people at the drop of a hat and it's a messed up process.

I still use Ebay a bit even though they've cost me over $1k at least from banning an account I had with open sales.

I love amazon. I buy so much stuff there with prime, they have pretty good CS as well.

Did have issues with selling or something?

Asus has become the #1 brand for AMD cards IMO.

They would have in theory but their Asus DCUII 7950/7970 cards were a major hit and miss this generation.

Also, 2 GPUs that take up 3 full slots each in CF is a no-go. Finally, both the Sapphire TOXIC and Sapphire Vapor-X GE cards beat this card to market. Asus is late. Now their card has to be a lot better than the TOXIC 7970 or what's the point?

P.S. A shame that someone would risk his reputation and criminal record for such minute amount of 'reward' as a $360 videocard. I guess Grooveriding and I have other alternatives such as selling parts through Craigslist or Kijiji.ca. In GTA there are > 5 million folks. Not very difficult to sell parts in public and perform the cash exchange in person. I suppose selling in person doesn't work that well in smaller parts of the world with smaller potential customer base. Good thing people got their $ back.

I still use them to buy stuff, I bought a laser disc Saturday.

The problem is Amazon doesn't care about their third party sellers & protecting people who use Amazon's payment service as long as Amazon gets theirs.

I had someone claim I was selling bootlegs videos and I've been banned from selling there ever since, no proof was required on their part to be ban me. Their tracking & banning methods are draconian.

The Matrix 7970 still isn't out yet? I know Asus releases these things several months after the first GPU launch, but we're quickly reaching the point where it's getting to be too late. Who's going to want a new premium 7970 almost a year after they launched?

Seriously... I seriously can't wait anymore... these premium cards are taking too long. 8k series is already around the corner.

When are the 8 series coming? When they do they won't be the same price as a 7970 for example whatever price its now

I think everyone is expecting the refresh to hit around January. I'd be extremely surprised if it happened before then.

Even January would probably be too early. Early Q2 is more likely (since 20nm won't be out until Q2 2014). Still, it's a hard sale to convince people to buy a premium card nearly a year late.

Don't forget to upgrade your 1100T CPU if you plan on using latest generation GPUs. Otherwise, you are just wasting $ since you will be CPU bottlenecked.

Agree. Asus would have captured some of the 'premium' 7970 consumers had they launched this 2-3 months after HD7970 launch. Even the TOXIC came out too late imo to command a $700 price but still beat the Matrix to the market with 1200mhz Lethal Boost and 6GB of VRAM. Things are even worse for the Matrix now since Sapphire released a slightly downclocked 6GB Vapor-X for $600. Then there is an 1100mhz Gigabyte Windforce for $450.

I don't understand what took Asus this long. MSI had the HD7970 Lightning available before anyone else. Have to give credit to the guys at MSI.

I would even consider the 1100mhz Gigabyte too but I've been reading about coil whine on it. As opposed to no coil whine on the Ghz Vapor X. I will slam my head in a wall if I do get that card and it whines as I will not feel like upgrading my psu lol.

I might just have to wait for this card to pair it up with my current XFX Ghz Edition. I need those displayports for my Eyefinity 3D setup as I am having difficulty syncing my current monitors in 3D gaming with DVI...

Hopefully it will come out before the end of this month or early October... These premium cards are taking long to be released. tsk tsk...
