I have 1904. Can I update straight to 3602 and without screwing anything up?

I was asking because I've heard that certain updates with my MB model have limited system functionality.

Here's a link to the list of BIOS updates if helps to better answer my question.

Under no condition should you jump all those bios vers
You bios updates have 2 booby traps - 2302 and 3302
2302 is a double flash - one flash then you do it again and then do an unplugged PSU CMOS reset
You can see this on your bios link

It doesnt say but 3302 (update microcode for Ivy Bridge) may also be a double flash to upgrade ME OROM from vers 7 to vers 8. Check and see on MAIN bios page what ME is showing - 7 or 8. If 8 is showing I would update Intel MEI driver in Dev Man/system devices to vers 8 drivers. If not do it after bios 3302. And you also need a PSU unplugged CMOS reset for that one. So I would wait a few minutes after 3302 flash to see if another flash happens by itself, and if not then i would run it again just for the hell of it, cant hurt anything

Rename bios to 2302.rom and 3302.rom and put them on FAT16 format USB 2.0 stick naked in root, and put stick in INTEL USB 2.0 port in back - no case ports) and use EZ Flash 2 in bios. Do not allow USB 3 legacy in bios.

If you want to be really smart you should go to ASUS E-Store and for $16 + ship they will send you a new bios chip with latest bios in 5 working days.

Thank you:) I guess I won't flash then.

I guess I'll just stay with the BIOS I have unless it's really easy to take the old chip out. How easy is it to take the old chip out?

Its just an 8 pin chip that plugs into its socket on the mobo
You can pull it with your fingers depending on how accessible it is, or needle nose pliers.
The chips come with legs splayed out about 10 degrees for some reason, so you have to carefully straighten them.
The chips only go in one way - you have to watch the shiny circle on the plastic on top..
And once again you absolutely must do a cmos reset when replacing a bios chip
If you put the chip in backwards - nothing bad happens just wont boot
Chip must be all the way down flat both ends, not tilted
Its really no big deal, best to place case on its right side so chip doesnt fall down while you are manipulating.
I can do it in my sleep blindfolded
