Asus release ATI Radeon 9800 XT - 256 MB Card

I like how it says "Shipping Extra." Maybe that's because it's delivered via armoured car. Jeebus.

jeez those dual fans look really nice. too bad there's no justifiable reason (semi) to buy this since HL2 is delayed

the best part is.
this product is nowhere visible on Asus Site. ?

did anyone found it on Asus WebSite ?

Regards,
Sandy..

Did anyone of you found a picture of this card on Asus Site ?

Weird.

At this rate, the next gen cards will be a grand a piece. I'm beginning to wonder if the lastest and greatest is worth it. I don't see a huge competitive leap in performance of this card over, say the 9800 or 5900. My current rig (XP2500, 9800np, 1G RAM) should handle d3 and hl2 just fine... I think I'm gonna hold off on any more upgrades for at least a year now... These prices are absurd.

By this time next year the XT and Athlons64's will be in the $100 $200 range. :Q

(just being sarcastic)

That is dual DVI. Haven't you seen the DVI-Splitters? They'll include that as a dongle I imagine. I think the max [individual] monitors you can have on a single DVI port is 4... [FireGL series?]

Dual DVI??? I'm in.

Wait, it's HOW much? Maybe I'm out.

...no, screw it, I'm in.

Wait, it's an ATI card???

Damn, I'm out.

🙂

Once again dual LCD users have been screwed...this card does NOT have dual DVI. From the Asus product page:

Diversified displays connectivity (Dual VGA, DVI+VGA, DVI+TV-out,VGA+Video-in,TV-out+Video-in,DVI+Video-in)
