I'm not sure if someone posted a similar thread.

I am trying to build core i7 rig. I've been looking for a decent x58 micro atx motherboard and found the asus rampage II gene and evga x58 micro (also DFI micro atx mobo).

I couldn't really find a difference between the two motherboard except for the fact that asus rampage II gene doesn't support raid. Is this true? If so is the evga x58 micro better?

RIIG. Has the most features out of all the boards. Only thing it gets beat in is color scheme, which goes to the eVGA board. And it most certainly can do RAID.

I have owned the DFI, the Asus, and the MSI X58 matx boards.

R2 Gene is a nice board. But for the money the MSI board is an awesome value and it performs equivalent to the Asus, the only thing with it is the northbridge HSF needs to be adjusted or replaced.
