HI
I have the Asus A7v133 motherboard up and running on my pc. I installed the Asus Probe software to monitor the temps and voltages and so on.
Just how accurate is the voltage monitor part of the software???
On the 3.3 volt bus I am getting readings of 3.568 volts for the lowest readings. I reset the alarm threshold up to 10% and at times the readings exceed the 10% threshold.
I installed the Antec 400 watt power supply and according to the specs on the power supply the 3.3 volt bus tolerance it +/- 5%. And, I would assume the voltage should not exceed 3.45 volts.
If the Asus probe is accurate, then it looks like I have p/s problems. The other voltages that the Asus Probe monitor seem to be ok.
All thoughts and suggestions are needed!!!!
Thanks

Hi
Just a thought here.
Even if Asus Probe isn't the most accurate, would a 10% or higher voltage swing be something to be concerned about??
I realize that even when specs are given in percentages there is room for a safe margin and error.
Maybe I am nit picking here. But,, I prefer to be safe. I don't want to fry a mobo or cpu.......
Thanks
