I've got an Asus CUSL2-C, Cell II 566@850, 256MB Ram.

The Asus Probe (I've DLed the lasted one from Asus too) gives me ratings that are all over the place. The Fan will drop to zero quite often while I can visually see that the fan is indeed spinning quite quickly and the audible sounds from it don't change.

The votage meters have also shot all over the place. The VCore has shot up to somwhere over 2 (its set to 1.65 in the bios), the other voltage setting have on rare occasion doubled, or have gone down to zero. All the while, the system seems to be functioning quite fine.

(I did have an OCing problem which I mentioned in the forums weeks back, but that has been resolved with a software based reconfiguration. In case anyone notices.....)

Is this par for the course with the Asus Probe. These types of problems have occured in both 98 and 2K.

Bob151, be sure you have the correct version of the Asus Probe. I know that there are specific versions of the Probe written for both the CUSL2 and the CUSL2-C. You may have the wrong version for your motherboard. Go back and try another version. Good luck.

I have the CUSL2 and Probe 2.08 I believe. It showed my fan stopping as well but that's it...the voltage monitor has been consistent and steady. I just bought the new Vantec heatsink though so I can no longer use the fan monitor (uses the 4-pin molex) but it didn't seem to work anyway so no big deal.

The actual temps seem ok...they used to be way off but seems they've been somewhat fixed. I don't have any thermal testing equipment so I don't know the actual temps but what the Probe detects seems to be about right.
