Hi everyone, my 16 year old son and I built a pc using the motherboard Asus Prime A320M-K AM4 and checked that it was conpatible with all other components. Fast forward to last year and it failed so he took it to a computer repair shop and had the same one fitted. The same thing has happened again and he thinks it's the motherboard that has failed. He says that he is going to spend his birthday money on another one but a different make. If this has happened twice now with the same make, what could the problem be that is causing this?

They have QA issues. They had some Intel boards where they mounted a cap in reverse polarity and killed systems. Their network gear has issues as well.

Switch brands and the problem should go away. I stick with ASRock these days as they offer a good price/performance.

What CPU are you using with it? The A series motherboards are entry level boards for less demanding usage. Depending on the CPU you might be asking too much from the board.
