+12 Voltage Threshold is set @ 10% it's been @ that setting since I've had the CPU. Now it's giving me a warning about every 5 mins about it exceeding it's threshold? Anyone know what might be the cause of this problem? I have notice a slight decrease in performance the last 2 weeks ...Any help would be great....
 
When under full load the unit seems to be making wierd sound. Kind of like the sound a unit makes when a CPU restarts. A switching type noise. Not the best info ...but the best i could describe at this time ....
 
what kind of power supply do you have
i use asus pc probe and it would give me 3.3 volt warnings when i was playing games
i was using a pow max power supply and im going to get another to be safe

Uhh...there's about a 90% chance it's the PSU.
 
If that's the case ....Any recommend a good power supply? I had/have a Antec True Power 350 watt PS ....

boy the system is becoming unstable under load now....locks up for about 15 secs...sounds like it purges then goes back to normal ....not able to play HL2 now since it locks up...
 
Get a multimeter to see what the actual power readings are; on-board readings are not nearly accurate enough.
 
Dont do anything based on the readings you get from a software monitor. Get a multimeter, calibrate it as accurately as you can, and then test your PSU. It's an antec, it shouldn't be doing that. Do you have a Power Filter on your power board or a UPS? Otherwise, it might be a problem with your motherboard....

Anyway, try measuring the voltage with a multimeter.

That is a decent PSU, but I am guessing it can't handle the strain of the 6800gt, 2 raptor and everything else...

I would look at the 430W Antec or similar brands. Fortron/Source, OCZ, Seasonic, and a few others (it's late) are good brands. I'm sure someone could make some better recommendations, but I would look foraround 450W with at least 25A on the 12V rail.
