ASUS P8Z77-V pro vs. MSI Z77A-G45

Greetings!
I need to renew my system since my old p45 MB died on me. It's been good for 4 years, so I can't complain much.
After taking a good look around I'm down to these two motherboards, but I'm not sure which one to pick to accompany my i5 3570k.
Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Well, you're comparing a $190 mid to high end board to a $120 budget board. The G45 to the P8Z77-V LK would be a more appropriate comparison.

Asus BIOS is far superior. Asus overclocking is superior. MSI is much cheaper! It really depends on what you want to do with the system, and how much you want to (or can) spend.

I currently run two MSI Z77 boards and one Asus Z77. They all work.

The Asus is simply not worth $70 more. I mean, you look at the BIOS once when you set up. The overclocking isn't superior to say, a Biostar, which has the same power phases--and you'd overclock using a software utility like the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility anyway.

I'd go for something even cheaper--an Asrock Pro4 for only $110 AR, which comes with 8GB memory for free.

If you replace your board a couple times each year $40 dollars adds. But if like me ever 3 or 4 years piece of mind comes more into play. Bells and whistles, yea that works for me. Oh coarse it was to stand the test of a good forum which it did here. So i'm going back to me fresh install and try to figure out what I'm doing, not doing.
