Prime 95 gives me blue screen after 30 seconds... Please help

I think I have found the blue screen issue. I switched to the non recommended ram slots and so far no blue. Fingers crossed. A2 B2 is what wasn't working. Now in A1 B1.

Never mind, still getting blue screen 10 min into game. Prime 95 seemed fine. Almost like my gpu is overheating, but I don't understand that.

OMG

So the free 8gb stick of corsair vengance ram that I got with my MB is only approved in 8gb 1 stick and 32gb 4 stick. So it would seem the 2nd stick I bought to accompany the free one is the culprit. So rather than buy an additional 2 stcks of vengance. I will try to RMA the one I bought and buy an approved set instead.

As far as not making the same mistake.

Which is more trustworthy in your oppinion for choosing approved ram. An appoved vendor list for ram from asus or a website like Crucial.com?

You should update the bios using a usb drive within the bios. Then wipe the drive clean and reinstall windows 7 again. Install ME 8.0 and reboot. Then install ME8.1 firmware and reboot when prompted. Then install ME8.1 and reboot again. Then install intel chipset, USB 3.0 Realtec lan, audio Asmedia SATA and USB 3.0/ Intel RST is optional unless your running raid.

I updated the bios with a fat32 usb and a cap file ealier. I would rather not have to take the time to format my hdd.

Why do I need intel ME? What does it provide?

I'm putting together a new build, the motherboard is the P8ZZ77-V Pro but the problem is identical. The Asus Intel ME 8.1 updating tool is stuck on updating and has been for the past hour. I'm afraid it's borked now. Has anyone been able to get this thing to work? This is the second motherboard I've had where a firmware update of the ME tool has failed.
