Asus P8Z68-V Pro vs NoPro

Hello Folks
I was just going to post the same thread
here is a comparison at newegg.com

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100006519%2050001315%2040000280&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&CompareItemList=280%7C13-131-792%5E13-131-792-TS%2C13-131-790%5E13-131-790-TS

from what i Can tell it seems the only difference is that pro has IEEE 1394a and onboard 1394a - and the non-pro doesnt
They both run SLI, have usb and pciE 3.0, almost everything is listed as the same please, if anyone knows the difference let us know.

here is from asus website - you might have to check there:
http://www.asus.com/Compare/
thanks all the best

Pro has 2 additional SATA 6G connections on a Marvell controller, it has IEEE1394, and it includes a USB 3.0 PCI slot bracket in the box.

Everything else is the same.

SATA on Marvell sucks, its a waste.

I looked at the ASUS website, could not find many differences... these were the only advantages on the PRO. My main concern was the power management/phases and they are exactly same - 16 Phase

Storage - Marvell® PCIe SATA 6Gb/s controller : 2 x SATA 6Gb/s port(s), navy blue

LAN - Intel® LAN- Dual interconnect between the Integrated LAN controller and Physical Layer (PHY)

Audio Feature - Absolute Pitch 192kHz/ 24-bit True BD Lossless Sound
- DTS Surround Sensation UltraPC
