Not sure what you're asking exactly but, the ASUS P6T is a good board whether you're overclocking or not. Oh and, welcome to the yellow brick road.

It's too early to tell which company has the best i7 board. I've read alot of mixed comments on Asus's i7 boards, more negative tbh.

ASUS makes at least 4 different flavors of the P6T from low end (P6T) to high (P6T Deluxe, P6T6) so you are taking care of any way you want to go!

Keep in mind that pretty much any "low-end" X58 board would be considered middle-of-the-road in overall motherboards. It might be better to say the P6T is a "basic" X58 board that still costs >$200. :p

What is the difference between the ASUS P6T Deluxe OC Palm and the P6T Deluxe v2?

If I wanted a digital display of my overclock what type of device would I need to look for. Don't really care about fan speeds mainly something simular to the OC Palm but something that will fit in a front panel.

The P6T Deluxe OC Palm is the P6T Deluxe v1 w/ the OC Palm device. It has the SAS controller that the v2 does not have.

If you wanted to view your OC, just look around for a bay device with an LCD screen. You might have to do some programming for it, but there are people here to help with that.

sounds good, I'll look around for a bay device but most of the ones I've been seeing are Lian Li or Silverstone and they only report fan speeds and CPU temps

I have a Coolermaster ATCS 840 Full Tower case that I'm going to be putting together a new rig, just need to nail down a power supply and a few other things then I'll be ready
