ASUS P5W DH Deluxe with Q6600 Question

Hello,

Motherboard: ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
Processor: Q6600 B3 stepping

For some reason I cant change the multipler on my asus motherboard it has the option in the bios to change it from (6-9) but when I put it on 7 and I reboot it goes right back to 9. It is making me mad:|. I have tried everything I can think of and I have put the same chip in my P35-DS3L and the multipler changes with no problem. Can someone help me. Does the C1e and speedstep have to be enabled? Any help would be appricated. Thanks Michael

Could be the bios.

Some have reported that enabling C1E actually increases their overclockabilities. Doesn't hurt to try.

For some reason I cant lower the multiplier it stays at 9. Has anyone else ever had this problem with my same configuartion. LMK Thanks Michael

And I had a P35-DS3L and I went to this ASUS board because I wanted to do crossfire and RAID. I think I am going to just buy a new X38 or 680i. Anyway LMK
