Running an Asus P5K with an E6600. What I'm worried about is the MB temp is about 38 idle, 40 under load at stock speeds. Up to about 43 under load while running at 333x9. In a LianLi PC65 with all four 80mm chassis fans running.

CPU stays at 24 idle, 36 load at stock speeds, about 7-8C higher at 333x9. I'm using a Zalman 7700, so I'm not to worried about those temps.

Put thread in CPU and OC forum due to the overclocking factor. Just wondering what others are getting for temps.

Hi mate,

I have the same set up and if i recall correctly the CPU temp was at about 50 at load when it is overclocked to 2.7 at 300x9. It seems unusual that yours is that much lower. What program are you using to find the temperatures. One of them reports the temperaturs 15 degrees too low. Read the 6600 thread at the top for more information.

Go download a program called Core Temp, it will provide you with accurate temperatures for your cpu.

Onboard TJunction is a bit low.

Currently using the Asus PC Probe app, it matches what's in the BIOS. I will give Core Temp a try.

Edit:

Rig is running F@H SMP client on startup 100% cpu usage.

PC Probe current readings: MB 38C, CPU 34C

CoreTemp current readings: CPU 0 42-43C, CPU 1 41-42C

Quite a difference there..thanks for app, is there a way for it to detect case/mb temp?
