Just ordered this set: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820231166

Said Compatible with P965 Chipset on Gskill site, but upon further research have found posts stating not compatible with P5B Deluxe. Anyone have experiance with ths set on P5B? Would it work at PC2 6400 so I can at least use untill my next motherboard upgrade? Thanks in advance.

It should work, the only question is "what speed will it run". There is an SPD setting (tRFC I think) that has to be set over 50 in order for it to run at faster than 800Mhz (PC2 6400). The BIOS only lets you change it up to 42, which isn't enough. So leave the memory timings on auto and cross your fingers. If it works, you should be able to run it at the full rated speed. If it doesn't work, you'll have to run at less than 800Mhz. Good luck, let us know if it works...

elconejito basically summed it up.
If you're lucky, AUTO will use SPD settings with a nice loose tRFC & you'll be able to run rated DDR2-1066.

If not, you'll likely get not over DDR2-1000.

I say 1000, since i've gotten up to DDR2-975 with tRFC @ 42 with my Mushkins.
With my G.Skill, i run DDR2-938 (tRFC 43) 24/7...

Update: So far so good, Ram set to 8500 in bios, mem timings on Auto (by SPD) Volts 2.1 Mem Test reports no errors. Hope me being a guinea pig with this set on this board will help someone else out. Not a bad upgrade for $55 and free shipping!
