Asus P5B Murdering my RAM????

Ok, so I have an Asus p5b deluxe, and Gskill memory...And thank god for Lifetime warrenty on gskill, because I have RMAd my ram at least 5 times.

Everything works fine, but in the following situations, the ram in DIMM slot 1, (Closest to the CPU)..will die....as in the computer wont post with it in the system..

Resetting the videocard
replaceing the videocard,
Putting on a different Heatsink on the CPU
Plugging in a new fan in the system

Each time i have had to replace the single stick. Im almost 100% sure its always the same slot, but i could be wrong..

Anyway, whats the problem?...does my Mobo just have a defect? The mobo is out of warranty, so i think im SOL in that department.

Are you running the timings and voltage for the RAM correctly in BIOS?
Also could you list full system spec's and is it OC'd?

I have a

e6550 oced to 2.8 stock voltage
Neo Power 480wtts
p5b deluxe
Gskill 2x1gig Hz´s stock everything, voltage set to auto (also tried 2.0)
8800gts

Havnt tried to change the PSU, but other than this, havnt had any problem with it

also i noticed, when i overclock my PCI-e slot slows down to 1x from 16x...

dont know if that has anything to do with it, but i had to raise my northbridge voltage, and southbridge to get it to stop doing that....after a few months, it started to do it again...with the voltages up

..i think the mobo is just messed up...unless anyone else has any ideas
