Does anyone know if newegg will check rev sopecs on an OEM< board? I would totally buy one if I could be assured of that...Looking at some patriot memory that needs 2.3v to run 1066+ddr2 at cas 4....

If not does anyone know a retailer that will do this or that is actively marketing rev 1.02g mobos?

it comes with the c2 rev of the 965 chipset.

reports are coming that the c2's clock easily to 500 fsb.

the gigabyte ds3 c2 has been available to some already and so far most people are reporting over 500 mhz which is awesome.

now if only the 975x chipset could do that... bad axe 2? :) *fingers crossed*

That's it? Good. This build is for a friend, and, as a habit, I do *not* o/c systems I build for others...just too much of a headache.... :)

Thanks for the info.

The higher binned D9 chips can do ~1000+ w/ 2.1V (take mine, e.g., i run 24/7 1063 5-5-5-5 @ 2.1V)

Though if you want ~1050+ TCL 4, yeah, 2.1V ain't gonna do it.

Whats wrong with a DS3? My DS3 has C2 965 chipset. It can do 2.5V. The OP has DS3....

But there doesnt seem to be any advantage of running memory for C2Duo even beyond 667mhz. Sure it sounds nice, but in games you'll be graphics card limited, or cpu frequency limited. Benches

I couldn;t get my 667 memory beyond 372 for 2.6 ghz. My ddr1000 is at 500 doing 3.6. Thats the reason for faster memory. and thats on an S3.

I talked to Newegg about the same thing, and they can't guarantee that it will be 1.02g. But they said:
"Generally, our stock moves so fast that we have the latest version or revision of everything."
and when I asked "Well, I would need to open the box to see if it's 1.02g. Can I return it for store credit, if it's opened?"
"We don't offer any sort of in-store credit. Don't worry about this because we always stand in customers' shoes."
