Asus P4T-533 and Samsung Rimm4200... CRIMM needed ?

I understand these Rimms do not have to be installed in pairs.
I intend to purchase one 256MB stick . My question is do I still need a CRimm
to fill the empty slot ? If yes, does anyone know if the Asus P4T-533 includes one in the box.
Also, what is your opinion on the following Combo
Asus P4T-533
Samsung Rimm4200 256 MB
Intel P4 @ 2.4 533FSB
$ 489 at Googlegear.com. $2 FedEx 2Day shipping. Cheaper than Newegg.

Thanks !

Yes, you need the CRIMM in, and it comes with the board. 🙂

YEs.. 🙂

That looks like a good price on the combo with a 2.53 processor. You need the crim because it still is like having a regular 4 Rimm slot board, but it just uses one stick to fullfill the two stick per channel requirement, so you need a crimm to terminate the other slot. IT must be a 32bit crimm and is included as stated above.

Actaully, I believe they are called CT-RIMMS when used in 32-bit boards, because they are Continuity and Termination Rambus Inline Memory Modules. If you try to use a normal 16-bit CRIMM, well, it wont even fit. Not really important though, because they'll give you what you need in the box.
