someone was asking about problems booting at over 125fsb.
they found the cause to be: "default voltage until post"
the old "wire pin trick" on 2 cpu pins can raise default voltage allowing you to cold boot above 125fsb but......
the ASUS P4S333 has a jumper to raise the default voltage 0.1v above normal!
ive had this board for awhile and i JUST found this option! woohoo!
i figured it was just for regular voltage in jumper mode. so i ignored it. i had no idea it was for boosting DEFAULT voltage in ANY mode. it litterally has a built in "wire pin trick".

another + for the ASUS P4S333 SiS645 chipset :)

*note:my system is still running fine - waiting on my new p4 1.8.

ok its been confirmed.
that jumper does force a 1.6v default on Northwood CPUs! :)
my system has confirmed a 1.85v default on a Willy.
my p4 1.5ghz can now cold boot @ 2025mhz/135fsb :D
(up from 1890mhz/126fsb)

all i can say is ...WOW, awesome feature in a motherboard.

can anyone else with an Asus P4S333 confirm this works for them?

<EDIT> OMG i forgot to add ...once youve changed that jumper, your max voltage allowable in bios will be 0.1v higher then before too.
(youll have to add 0.1v to the bios's listed settings)
very cool hidden feature ;)
